Listening

 Daily Reflection — Yoruba Yogi

Today I noticed how deeply I have changed. I no longer want to be told who to become or reduced to a simple instruction. The old language of survival no longer fits me. I am not resisting work—I am resisting being erased.

I’m learning that identity doesn’t always arrive with clarity or approval. Sometimes it shows up first as a feeling, a way of being, a quiet certainty without a roadmap. I don’t need to fully understand what I’m doing to know when something is true inside me.

I’ve also learned how unsettling calm can be in spaces built on rules and control. When presence speaks without permission, it exposes insecurity. When connection happens without hierarchy, it threatens systems that rely on structure for meaning. This isn’t personal—it’s psychological.

What I carry now is not a role, but a state. I regulate by listening. I influence by being. And I’m beginning to see that not every space is meant to receive that.

Today I choose to trust my inner signal instead of external noise.

I don’t need to explain my path for it to be real.

I am learning, observing, and becoming—one moment at a time.
