Life
The Breath of Life
Tonight I sat in a meeting and listened. People spoke of relapse, of pain, of loss. I cried — not for myself, but because I saw the suffering of people who have never truly sat with themselves.
Theology, atheism, agnosticism — all brain labels. The truth is simpler: everything we argue about exists because of one thing — the breath of life. Without breath, there is no God to believe in, no science to debate, no thought at all.
I have learned that true clarity comes when you are without money and sober. No substances. No material distractions. Just you and life itself. That is when the voice of God is loudest.
This is the consciousness I’ve been disciplined enough to find. And I know — this is the consciousness America needs.
Grateful. Always.
