Daily Reflection – Determination, Emotional Control, and Peace
Good morning 🌞. Another beautiful day begins. I rose around 4:00, and by 4:05 I was already on my yoga mat.
As I moved through my practice, I realized something—after years of yoga, meditation, and running, my emotions are not like everyone else’s anymore. Through tears, discipline, stillness, and breath, I have developed a peaceful strength. Ten years of overnight yoga and 60,000 miles of running have reshaped me mentally, physically, and spiritually.
If life had been easier, with money and comfort, I might have slipped back into old habits. But my path forced me to choose differently. Endurance—running 100+ miles, marathons every day for a year, hours of meditation, and writing—became my teacher. These practices gave me emotional control, balance, and a deeper connection to my higher self.
This is not about bragging. I am no better than anyone else. But while many struggle with emotional sobriety, my discipline has lifted me into a new way of seeing. That way is peace.
So today, my message is simple: Determination. Humbleness. Love.
Not determination to fight, but to simply be myself. Breathing into the body, staying grateful for the smallest blessings—the fading moon, the stars still shining, a sip of water, the gift of peace.
With gratitude in my heart, I carry these words into the day: determination, emotional control, and love.
Peace ✌🏾
