Thursday September 1st thinking

 Daily Reflection – September 1st 🌙

3:00 AM – Rising with the Stillness

This morning I rose at 3:00 AM. The world was silent, and I felt the energy of the moon and the sun moving through me. I stretched into yoga, breathed deeply, and carried myself into meditation. In that stillness, I remembered my discipline. While others sleep, I awaken. While others look for comfort, I seek strength. I felt powerful—like a billion-dollar man—because my wealth is in my spirit, my breath, my body’s endurance.

In those hours before dawn, I saw clearly that many cannot understand this path. They want me to sound like them, to limit myself to what is familiar. But my discipline is not theirs—it is deeper, steadier, and born from survival. This is the power of my God of understanding, the gift of yoga, meditation, and movement.

Afternoon – Walking in My Own Power

Later in the day, I chose to walk instead of going to the meetings. I honored my own company, breathing with every step, moving with gratitude. My spine felt alive, my body renewed from the ground up.

On my walk, I met the man who always shares with me. He told me his truth—that during his homelessness, he needed crack and alcohol every day just to endure. He looked at me and said the way I live amazes him. His words reminded me of the gift I carry: the ability to survive without numbing myself, the discipline to remain whole through yoga, running, meditation, and movement.

My Understanding Today

I see now that many of the rooms—AA, NA, even church—offer words but not the practice that heals the body. Without the breath, without the mat, without the discipline, people live in fear, reciting texts but never entering the inner garden.

I feel rejection from those spaces, but I also feel direction. My story is not for everyone. It is for those ready to see that real healing requires practice. Today, I accept that truth.

I am grateful for my discipline. I am grateful for the strength that has carried me through homelessness, trauma, and rejection. I am grateful for the billion-dollar energy rising in me.

Today, I walk in amazement. I breathe into gratitude. I honor my path.
