October 30, 2011, an easy meditative 8-mile run my thoughts my religion is to live and die without regret, to understand now, to understand emptiness, to be compassionate, to be strong and healthy. Who thinks of sickness until it strikes like lightning? When preoccupied with the world, who thinks of death, until it arrives like thunder. All meditation should begin with arousing deep compassion. Whatever one does must emerge from an attitude of love and benefitting others. Some worldly pursuits have, but one inevitable end, which is destruction off the mind. Set aside 15-minutes a day and realize the truth from within. That alone is the best of religious fulfillments.
